Hiking, Biking & Relaxing at Venet

Coolcation at Venet - Summer time at the Summit

When the alpine rose carpets bloom on the slopes of the Venet mountain meadows, summer begins at an altitude of 2,212 metres. While temperatures rise in the valley, the Venet offers the perfect 'coolcation': fresh mountain air, panoramic views and genuine Tyrolean hospitality. Whether you're hiking, biking, climbing, paragliding or simply relaxing on a bench with a view, nature provides the backdrop. The Venet Mountain Railways are the ideal starting point for small and large mountain adventures. Hike, bike or stop at the chapel of the present ("Gegenwartkapelle") – at 2,212 metres above sea level, you can experience the Tyrolean mountain summer.
Recharging without distractions has never been so easy!

Hiking pleasure at the Venet

When the first sunrays light up the Glanderspitze, an unforgettable day of hiking begins. Whether you're looking for a cosy family route or a scenic summit tour, the Venet has something for everyone.

Our recommendation:  a hike from Krahberg (2,208 m) to Glanderspitze (2,512 m).

Start: Venetbahn/Weinbergbahn mountain station.

Walking time: approx. 1.5 hours.
Afterwards, the panorama restaurant invites you to enjoy a well-deserved refreshment.

Tip: The well-known long-distance E5 hiking trail from Oberstdorf to South Tyrol passes directly by the Venet summit hut at the Venetbahn mountain station. An authentic stopover for tired hikers before descending into the Pitztal - an overnight stay at the Gipfelhütte.

Mountain bike tour at Venet

The tour starts at the valley station of the Venetbahn in Zams and initially leads to the castle in Landeck. Via the historic Via Claudia Augusta, you reach Fließ, where the path turns into a forest road leading up to the mountain station of the Venetbahn (2,212 m). The return journey is via the same route.

Tip: A cozy place to stop is the Jagerhütte in Fließ or the panorama restaurant directly at the mountain station of the Venetbahn.

In the Kaunergrat Nature Park

The Venet mountain massif is located at the mountain station of the Venet cable car, which has a panoramic restaurant and a summit hut. It sits on the threshold of the Kaunergrat Nature Park, which extends along a prominent mountain ridge between the Pitztal and Kaunertal valleys. It is a true treasure trove of nature, offering great theme trails, nature playgrounds, and a nature park house with an interactive exhibition.
